The instruction at 0x7c93426d referenced memory at 0x00000099

I have auto-genereated folders and files created by NetObjects Fusion (web
development software) that are giving me grief. Any attempt to access the
folder with Explorer, any FTP application, Photoshop or indeed any
application results in this error message and the app terminates. I even have
some apps that just end without the error message.

I have moved the files and folders, defragged, re-created them in different
locations but the same problem occurs.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I have the same problem with photo files I've saved from Olympus digital
camera and Sony digital camera. Jpeg files...when exploring using Windows
Explorer, system completely crashes, and I get the following error message:

The instruction at "0x7c93426d" referenced memory at "0x00000000"
The memory could not be "read".

Very frustrating...I've tried everything I can think of to try to figure out
why this might be happening. System also crashes when I access the files
through Photoshop, or when opening files to attach to Outlook.

Help!!!!!!

Dr Ricardo,

I did find a solution to this. My problem was caused by the file
associations created by Photoshop. All I had to do was uninstall Photoshop
and then reinstall it but I did NOT associate all graphics files with
Photoshop this time; I just kept the default settings. This then made .JPG
files associated with the windows default. So far the problem has not
returned.

So I suggest you look at what applications you have associated with .JPG
files and get them back to the windows default settings and see what happens.

Good luck.

Paul,
You are my HERO! I've been racking my brain and uttering some real foul
language trying to solve this problem. Almost got the sledgehammer out, but
I figured I'd try some user forums to see if anyone else had this problem.
I'll bet the Photoshop reinstall will work!!! Thanks so much for responding.
Much appreciated.

Another thought...I wonder if I can just change the file associations in
Windows Explorer without having to completely reinstall Photoshop? Or, can I
change the default settings in Photoshop without reinstalling? Just
wondering (and trying to avoid the whole reinstall procedure if possible).
