Hi

I've just read John McGhie's great article on Creating Templates - very
closely. Now I have a question.

I created a template and saved it in my templates folder. Then I decided I
wanted to created a second template with the same margins, headings etc but
with a different font. What I did next altered the font in the original
template which is NOT what I wanted!

This is what I did. I opened the newly created template, went into format
styles and changed the body text font. Then I saved the template under a new
name. When I went back into my original template, the font was changed there
too. Does anyone know what I should have done?

I can't account for this unless you had the "Add to template" box checked
when you modified the style (or used the Default... button in the Font
dialog). Until you have saved the template with a new name, you're still
making changes to the original one.
