I am trying to use TELNET in a DOS window on an XP box. When I type, I see
no text and the cursor does not move. I've also tried on WIN2K and get the
samething. Any ideas on that?

So, I move on to PUTTY, telnet to my server on port 80. I type in GET
index.html HTTP/1.1. I always get back a 400 error saying the request was
invalid. From what I've read, this should work. (of course I've misread
before). Any ideas what I may be doing wrong here?

Thanks for any help.
