takes 5 to 10 minutes for windows to load up to user screen

everytime i turn on the laptop the screen goes black and makes a repetitive clicking noise. After 5 to 10 minutes it comes to the user screen... i click on my user name (there are others...which seem to run faster than mine) and then it makes that tune and welcome sign comes up. When logged in window starts up but sometimes it turns itself off and it takes 5 mintues to get to the username screen...wats wrong with my vaio pcg-z1mp laptop!??
