SYSTEM uses all available CPU cycles

Hi, XP, SP1, all auto updates installed. No programs running. CPU
usage is always pegged at 100%. SYSTEM uses all available cycles. How
can I troubleshoot this?

Looks like it was indexing service, even though it was actually system
using the CPU. I turned off indexing service and the CPU usage came
down to normal. There may be some problem with the indexing service -
a corrupted file it is trying to access or something like that.
