PROBLEM: My computer beeps, XP shuts down, and the
message "Operating System Not Found" displays on the
monitor.
BACKGROUND: I recently lost the IDE Port that my Hard
Drive was connected to, causing my system to crash. AS a
result, I unplugged my Internal Zip Drive and freed up a
Port to hook my Hard Drive to. The Drive was then
reformatted, and XP was loaded as the OS (I was
previously using MS2000).
ATTEMPED FIXES: I checked Power Options to make sure that
the Drive was not set to shut down. Also, Defrag won't
work as the system always shuts down before it is
finished.
