I have such a problem, that I want to reinstall XP on my laptop, but
unfortunately I don't have a CD which I would be able to boot from. Can
anyone help me where can I download it or what to do?

Some laptops have SETUP or RESTORS routines
preinstalled in a hidden partition: others do not;
we do not know the brand or date of your laptop.

check with your laptops
home site.

there is likely a procedure
to initiate a "factory restore"

however, the above method
will wipe away everything off
the hard drive and restore the
machine back to its factory state.

perhaps, you might want to
explain your situation because
there may be other solutions
for whatever issues you are
experiencing.

Start - Programs - Accessories - System tools - System Restore

The best thing to do is to consult the User Manual that came with your
laptop on how to restore Windows. If you don't have one, then go to the
company's website that made your laptop and look it up for your particular
model. Chances are there is a hidden partition on your hard drive that
contains the restore software to place your laptop back to the same state it
was when you first used it. If this is not the case and you didn't get a
restore CD, then contact the company that made the laptop and explain the
situation. They will be more than happy to provide you with a restore CD
usually for a small fee (possibly around $10.00 - $15.00).

Just going from his subject system restore. not Reinstall
... in case he didn't know the windows system restore was an option

The Subject line shows confusion since OP stated he wishes to "reinstall
XP on [his] laptop."

To OP:

Please undestand that although you are expressing a desire to restore
your "system" (i.e., your laptop) to its original out-of-the-factory
condition (at least, it appears this is what you want to do), the term
"System Restore" with regard to the Windows XP operating system has an
entirely different meaning:
