System Restore Configuration Problem

This is a problem that my wife has come across with her new Dell with Windows
XP.

She loaded the system restore onto her computer from the cd. Everything
seems to work as far as the back-up process goes but she says that it only
backs up to a floppy disk and that is the default and no other option is
highlighted so she can choose CD-RW.

Can anyone help.

If she is trying to use the Windows backup program, it does not backup
directly to CD. She needs to save the backup file to her hard drive and
burn it from there. Or use a better third-party backup program.
