When I try to switch off auto reply in outlook I am getting the message "The
command is not available. See the program documentation about how to use
this extension" Any ideas?

Not without any configuration information, steps to reproduce and the way
that you've created your auto reply in the first place.

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm afraid I don't really know the answers to
that only that I cannot select the out of office off button. The PC is admin
controlled so certain features are blocked for users. I am trying to switch
it off rather than call in the IT guys.

If you know what Outlook Web Access is can you disable Out of Office from
there?
It's better to call them so can they can directly look at you mailbox to see
what is wrong. From here I cannot see what policies they have in place.

Thanks.

I do have access to OWA but cannot find the "out of office" function - do I
have to look somewhere else whilst using OWA?

Thanks, but I don't have the Options tab on my toolbar. I think I'll have to
rever to the IT guys. Thanks for your help.

What version of Exchange are you using? If 5.5, it is in the left pane under the options folder.
