Hi...I keep getting a message from my EZ antivirus that a file in C;\system
volume information\ -restore\ etc etc is the Win 32 Swen A worm.

My virus scanning sigs are all up to date but it apears that the antiviral
software doesn't clean "that deep". I thought i'd just go in and delete the
offending file but I'm denied access to that directory.

is there are way to "gain access" to the directory, or is thwere some other
strategy that i coulduse to clean this thing out?

Thanks....mark BTW email address "bigpong" should equal "bigpond"...ya
can worjk out the rest, huh?

Hi Mark,

Go to: Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/View/Show Hidden File and
Uncheck Hide Protected Operating System Files.

Then go to: C:\System Volume Information

But the way to fix your problem is to create a restore point and then use
the Disk Cleanup advanced tab to delete all but the last restore point. The
virus will be gone, if your virus checker already deleted it from your
system.

Thanks Kelly....Following your advice I've deleted all the resore points
prior to today so hopefully that will fix it. As for going to the C;\system
volume information. I'd done the showing of system files thing and could
see the directory. The problem remained that i was "denied access" and hence
couldn't perr inside. Any ideas on this?

Thanks again for the advice....Mark
