Support for dual-core AMD processors/ "futureproofing"

I`ve heard that NVidia NForce4 boards will support AMD`s dual-core processors when they arrive. Do NForce3 or Via K8T800 chipsets not?? And if not, why?

Socket 939 will support dual-core. I think some motherboards will be socket 939, but also nforce 3 chipset.

I think you would need a good quality 939 motherboard though.

Oh yea.... Sorry, i meant to add 939 pin mobos to that post...

939pin NForce3 or 4 boards... Thanks Kye
