I am running MSN Messenger 6.2 and it is automatically storing my password
on the computer. I am wondereing if this is with Windows XP Pro or if
Messenger is doing this. I can't have people using my computer when I am
away and to be able to automaticaly sign into my messenger account. Any
advice on how to get rid of this problem?

I'm sure it's an option in MSN Messenger. However, if other people are using
your computer, you should probably set them up with their own (limited user)
accounts anyway.....that way they can't get into your data (presuming you
use NTFS).

Click Start, Run and type CONTROL KEYMGR.DLL
Delete the account name from the list. (The stored credentials for that Messenger account is erased)

Disable Storage of Credentials and .NET Passwords (Windows XP) at Registry Guide for Windows:
