Peter,
For Windows 98, open Registry Editor and goto:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices-
(note the "-" sign at the end. These keys will hold the values for disabled items in MSCONFIG)
Backup each key, in case and delete the sub-entries in the right-pane.

Thanks. It solved it.
Is there a similar page for 98SE? as i have a similar problem in my other
computer: would like to get rid of obsolete entries in the startup msconfig
tab.
Thank you very much
