OK, Ben. Look at this, posted by Ronnie Vernon. But be very careful. Be
certain you understand what you are doing, or you could cause severe
problems!
You can look at the entry for an item in msconfig and it will show where it
is located. If the path to the item is no longer there, perform the
following.
Go to Start/Run, type Regedit and press OK.
Navigate to the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupfolder.
There should a a sub-key for each of the disabled items that were starting
from the Start Up folder. These can be deleted.
For items that were started from the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg
Locate and delete the sub-keys for the disabled items there.
