Spooler Service Crash

We are using multiple OKI C5100N & 5200N lasers all managed by a Windows 2003
Server, we used to use it on Windows 2000 Server before we upgraded.

The problem we are experiencing is the print spooler on the server crashes,
I have eliminated this down to Microsoft Publisher 2003, but we also used to
have the same problem with Publisher 2000, the only way I can restart the
print spooler is to delete all jobs from the system32\spool\printers folder
and re-boot the server (as one job remains in the spool folder).

It has crashed regularly over the past 3 days, but it always seems to be a
publisher file being printed that causes this to crash

Any help or anyone else experiencing something similar?
