do you know how i get my e mail address off of the news
group so i can use a differnt sign in name i don't want
to receive any spam

To late, it's been passed around the world at least once and is now
located on 1000's of news servers. If the spam cascades into the mailbox
simply create a new account and notify those you correspond with, then
kill the old account.
