SP2 with Norton Internet Security 2003?

Can XP SP2 be safely installed on a computer running Norton Internet
Security 2003?
 
Yes, no problems on the computer I have with NIS 2003.
Norton has not yet made the updates so the Security Center can monitor
the status of NIS 2003.
But that does not affect functionality at all.
