SP1 or SP1a?????

I have yet to update Win XP with either SP1 or SP1a. I am
curious as to which update I should download? I know that
SP1a has been released more recently, does that make it
better? Any advice would be helpful.

SP1 is no longer available from Microsoft. SP1a is the same, without the
inclusion of the Java Virtual Machine (pulled by court order).

SP1a does not include any additional fixes, the only difference between the
two versions is that SP1a does not include the Microsoft Java Virtual
Machine. Microsoft no longer distribute the original version with Java
included.

SP1a omits the MS Java 'virtual machine' under a court order. that is
the only difference, so if you can find SP1 that is better
