I have tried to download Service Pack 1 from the MS
update site three times unsuccessfully. Each time the
cursor has frozen and I have had to uninstall the Service
Pack to cure the problem. The last time I did a repair
from my XP Professional installation CD, which caused me
to be unable to create an internet connection. My
computer came with the home edition installed and I
purchased an academic edition upgrade to professional
from school. After each malfuction I have contacted MS
Support who have walked me through uninstalling the
service pack but have offered no solution to enable me to
install the Service Pack. Help!!!!
