Sound association - click on link or button?

I have a new laptop, am setting everything up and been
trying to find the sound association that gives you a
sound when you click on a link or button. Select is not
it. I have a nice loud sound associated with that and it
works for a lot of things. Just not on IE.

Every time I click on a button or a link, I hear a little
Pfft. I have clicked on every sound in the Control Panel
Sounds area and nothing has this sound - what is it???

And for me as well. In addition, when I click on web page links to open
them, I hear the error beep and the new window shuts down and the link will
not open....
Hope we find an answer...
