How do you get folders or files in the lower taskbar other than what quick
lauch inserts...

Drag and Drop.

right click the taskbar and click on 'Lock Taskbar' to remove the check mark
thereby unlocking it. Now you should be able to drag and drop items to the
taskbar and they will appear in the Quick launch area. Or you can right
click the Taskbar and select Toolbars->New toolbar.

PS: If you need to resize the Quick Launch toolbar, just unlock the taskbar
(right click), then mouse over the separator (right hand of Quick Launch)
and then drag to the right, finally re-lock the taskbar.

Try creating a separate post with your question. What you've done in this
thread is called 'highjacking' meaning you took somebody's post and took it
