Shared Documents Missing

Hi

I have recently changed the value of Common Documents under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\user
shell folders to '%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Shared Documents' because the target path
of my shared documents folder was incorrect.

However, following this change, my shared documents folder disappeared from
my computer. i checked the value of Common Documents under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\shell
folders and found that it was empty. I have tried entering relevant values
like 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents' or
'%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Shared Documents' but after i logged out and in again for
the changes to take effect but everytime i return to regedit the value
becomes empty again.

What should i do?
