Second window openings

Lately, each time i click on an e-mail link to go to a site, a blank IE
window opens and then a second, smaller one, opens the link.

When I am done, I have to close both pages. This is aggrivating. Is there
any way to make this stop and work the way it used to.

WinXP home and IE6 on this system

Check (or correct) registry value
default="C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE" /mailurl:%1"
located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\mailto\shell\open\command
