Script corruption not detected with script debugging

Afyer removing McAfee to Upgrade to 2004 8.0, On re-boot all windows script was corrupted to illegible symbols. Tried system restore with no success. tried script debugging but no errors were found, any suggestions

A not uncommon problem with McAfee uninstall.

Re-install Windows Script 5.6 from the Microsoft website (search for
it in the Download Center)
