screensaver wont work with sp2

Ok, some will some wont... for example, starfield works with no problem, but
when I try to load a 3d fishbowl screensaver I bought, the screen goes blank,
I hear a little bit of the bubbles you're suppossed to hear, and then
nothing, I move the mouse....nothing, I leave it alone for hours.....nothing,
so I have to reset the computer and wait for the damned scandisk to finish
and try again and the same happens......
I am running a home made pc, w/
sp2 installed
1Ghz amd proccessor
512 ram
NVidia 128 Mb dual monitor w/ one 21" mon. @ 1024x768 and the other @ 800x600
please help...I really like this screensaver and it sucks I cant use it
after paying 14.95 for it!!!

Ok, thx for the help.... but I still have problems... I read that article and
everything is as it should regarding the video settings... plus, the 3d
screensaver wont work by clicking "preview" like it says on the article....
it does the same thing, it freezes...
I think sp2 has a lot to do with it...
Thank you in advance for any other info on this...
Oh...by the way, I messed up on the resolution... one monitor is @ 1152x864
the other @ 800x600
