screen resolution scalling problems

M

martha stewart

when windows loads up the start up screen only fills part
of my monitor.... if i try change my screen resolution to
800x600 or anything that is lower than 1200x1600 (my
screens res) then it again only fills part of the screen
and blanks out the edges around. When i open a game that
i usually play at 800x600 it agian only fills part of my
screen, if i change it to 1200x1600 it fills the entire
screen but i should be able to do the other way.... i
have never had this problem till just a couple of days
ago.....

Sp my problem is that i want to run the computer @
1200x1600 (which works) but when playing a game (enemy
territory) i want it to run in 800x600 full screen. The
game settings are all correct so it is a windows problem.

windows xp
nvidia 64 mb ddr video, dual monitor cap.
1.79 ghz pent.
toshiba 5105 - s701 satellite

any help would be greatly appreited...

thnaks in advance,

martha
