Scheduled Tasks

Paul

Does anyone know how to use scheduled Task that's located on
the control Panel, I used this frequently on Win98 and it
worked fine. I just bought a new computer with XP-PRO on it
and when I try to schedule a task For Ex: Bring up the
calculator every day at a certain time, When I try to
schedule this task it asks me for a Password, I tried
several but it always says "did not run incorrect password"
or if I don't use a password it says "did not run password
missing" Those may not be the exact words but something
like that.
If anyone can help me could you please send me an E-mail
at (e-mail address removed)
Than you very much.

Hi Paul,

Running Scheduled Tasks without a password:

For Pro: Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Local Security
Policy/Local Policies/Security options. In the right hand pane (third down).

Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only.
This is enabled by default, disable it.
