saving pictures

When I try to save a picture to my hard drive from the
internet, it defaults to saving as untitled.bmp - it used
to default to filename.jpg.

What has changed? and how do I get it back to how it was?

That happens when the Temporary Internet Files are too full. In IE click
Tools | Internet Options. Click Delete Files in the Temporary Internet
files section of the General tab. On the next window place a check mark in
the box to Delete all offline content.
