save as .jpg files

I have read microsoft's 266952 and already have installed
Internet Explorer ver 6 with SP1. I still have the
problem with the save as always going to BMP files instead
of the original JPG file. It didn't do this at first but
something has changed.

An interesting observation: if I try to call up a file
that has been already saved as JPG, it goes to the JPG
file type.

Can anybody help??

This does not appear to be a WIN2000 AD related issue. I might suggest that
you post this to a more appropriate newsgroup - such as the WIN2000.general
or IE newsgroups.

I might - thinking outloud - enquire as to the File Association. However,
it seems that you might have done this already.
