Even though this option is checked in Tools>Options>Preferences>Email
Options, whenever I send an email, a copy IS NOT saved in the Sent Items
folder.
Any ideas why?
Thanks-

The only two comments that I could make... first, it's possible you have a
rule set up that is intercepting the sent message. Second, on my machine, I
have multiple accounts, one for my exchange server and one for my hotmail.
It's possible that you've configured one, but not others to save sent items
(although, that one is a bit more of a reach).

Take a look in your Rules Wizard, and look for rules based on "Check
messages after sending". If you've got something in there, I'm not sure how
it would interact with the Save Sent Items option.

Hope that helps...

I also have the same problem. We transfered messages and address book from
Outllook Express from an old machine to a new one and then from Outlook
Express on the new one to Outlook 2003. The old machine had the same problem
and the new machine has also picked up the same problem. We didn't do a file
and settings transfer or mail account transfer.

Outlook 2003 has no rules in the wizard but it still will not save a copy of
a sent message in the sent items folder.

I went back to Outlook Express on the new machine and added a test account
that differs from any account ever used and it also maintained the same issue.

?
