I am encoding a video for use in a Power Point presentation next week, and I'm not sure which operating system will be used (WinXP or 98/ME). I am fairly sure it will be Windows XP.

Are there any high quality codecs that are compatible out of the box with these operating systems? DivX would be ideal, but it is not initially compatible. I am guessing WMV7 would be though?

Thanks, I'm just going to use simple WMV - should be safe.

All I need now is a way for Power Point to automatically play a movie when the slide changes? I can't see how to do it, but does anyone know a way?
