RRAS/VPN logs

Hello
A Windows 2000 server as a VPN server in the DMZ.
Checking the event viewer shows successfull & unsuccesful
connections, and informs of the time
connected/disconnected, bytes sent or received. On the
latter, does that mean bytes sent or received whether they
connect to say, a microsoft exchange 2003 server using the
MAPI outlook or whether they connected to a share?
Anyone can connected to the VPN and not do anything, as
per the "0 bytes sent/received" in the event viewer.
Thanks to all!
Angel
