RIS

Hi

I am trying to get RIS working on our network and just continue to fail!
Here is setup-
DHCP on AD server (called ads5)
RIS server (called backup)
Both Win2003 sp1

PXE client with Intel UNDI PXE-2.0 (build 082)

I am getting PXE-E55: proxyDHCP service did not reply to request on port 4011

I get a dhcp request on network and a response from DHCP server. I get ack
to offer and client shows acceptance of IP, subnet and dhcp server.

Packet sniffing shows no communication from RIS server.
Done a netstat -a and get udp backup:4011 *:*
Which means port 4011 is ready (I think) - well netstat shows all available
ports and as it lists 4011 then can I assume it is working?

I have RIS service, TFTP daemon, dhcp service on backup all started on backup

So why do I not get any communication from backup?

Any ideas?

I have spent 2 days hunting net for details!!!!!!
I have added dhcp options-
60 Client Identifier (set to PXEClient)
66 Boot server (set to backup.racnet.local - tried the IP too)
67 bootfilename (set to startrom.com)

I have done a standard RIS XPsp2 CD as the image to try to use.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Eifion
