Rescue disks

Is there a download to create windows xp pro rescue disks
as i had to reformat my hard drive as windows would not
load?
 
If you reformatted your hard drive, rescue disks will do you no good. You
just need to boot off of the XP CD and do an install from there.
 
So can a copy of the XP CD be successfully made as insurance should the
original get scratched or damaged? In my case, it would be an OEM
(pre-installed) restore CD.
