Most earlier versions of Windows (Pre-XP) had methos of
creating rescue disk for trobleshooting the operating
system. I cannot find any file to create rescue disk fore
Windows XP. Anyone oput there can help?

The Windows XP installation CD is also a "startup disk" or ERD
and contains the tools necessary to perform repairs.

The Recovery Console is on the XP CD. You can run it from
the CD by booting the CD. You can also install it on the
hard drive, sort of a dual boot.
