HI All.
I have a computer that has critical data and software on it, and it
keeps giving BSOD 0x6f (Session3_initialization_failed).
I want to re-install win2k without loosing data, but I cant get to the
GUI in order to "UPGRADE" from the CD at Windows.

Any suggestions?

Here is a suggestion: BACK UP YOUR CRITICAL DATA! Any
file that is important must be backed up at least weekly - not
doing so will sooner or later cause data loss, in your case
probably sooner rather than later.

After you've done this, do this:
- Reboot your machine and get into the BIOS setup.
- Make the CD drive your primary boot device.
- Pop in your Win2000 CD.
- Reboot the machine and let it boot from the CD.
- Select "New installation" when prompted.
- Select a different target folder when prompted, e.g.
c:\win2000.
