I am installing a certain printer to certain user's
computers on the LAN using the following command (executed
on their box with administrative credentials using
Altiris's deployment server):
rundll32
printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /ga /if /f "\\SERVER\APPS\PRINTERS
\Fiery
X3E\WinXPPS\oemsetup.inf" /r "FieryX2E.xxxxx.com" /m "Fiery
X3e 31C-M PS v1.1" /q
Everything works dandy except that the printer
installation process is interrupted by the pop-up box that
alerts the user to the fact that the printer driver hasn't
passed windows logo testing. This gives the user the
opportunity to Continue or Stop the installation. I don't
want that.
I would like to silently install the printer to that
person's computer without any intervention required (or
ability to cancel the operation).
How can I do this, so that the ENTIRE install process is
silent. In other words, how can I suppress that Windows
Logo Testing message?
Thanks,
Curtis
