Registry Problem ?

I appear to have a corrupt registry ?

Symptoms are:
Random lockups or restarts
Ad-Aware restarts system every time at record TLIB\.... something or other
regedit /e file.reg causes system to restart, same as above
Using regedit and expanding HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT cause system to restart, same
as above
Severall attempts to restore system to an earlier RP just hangs the system

Any thoughts or suggestions ?

Boot up in safe mode and run a full chkdsk with both options checked. Then
boot in safe mode again and run ad-aware (it works fine in safe mode)
