Referencing image caption

Hi.

I have image captions like "Figure 2.1: Description". If I add new image
before this one, the numbers are automatically updated.

But what about referencing image in a text? If I write "something, see
Figure 2.1, and later add new image before Figure 2.1, the caption is updated
to 2.2, but the number in the text is not.

How to set references in the text, so they will also be updated?
 
Use Insert | Reference | Cross-reference to add the cross-reference.
This creates the cross-references as REF fields, which can be updated
to display the correct number.

To update REF fields, as well as other fields, select the whole
document and then press F9. Alternatively, switch to Print Preview and
back. You may also want to enable the "Update fields" option in Tools
| Options, Print tab, to force an update of fields when you print the
document.
