Recovering deleted email by date deleted

One of my coworkers accidentally deleted all the mail (about 3,000
items) from his inbox this morning. He needs to retrieve them from
deleted items and restore them to his inbox. The problem is there are
about 22,000 items in his deleted items folder. Rather than going back
and looking through several months of all that old deleted mail, is
there a way to filter the deleted items mail by the date they were
deleted? I looked in all the options under "customize current view"
but found nothing. Also, the "Recover Deleted Items" option under
tools is grayed out. We use Outlook 2000 on Exchange 2000. Thanks.

Add the Modified date column.
