PUP application running at startup

What is pup? It shows up when I do a Ctrl-Alt-Del and
look at the applications. It has a process attached with
it that is just a bunch of number. The process is
located in the C:\Windows\System 32 directory. The icon
shows up as a visual basic icon. Didn't know if it was
spyware or a virus. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Check this site for information on the file. Probably spyware, but you did
not include the name of the executable file?
