In Outlook 2003, using either Outlook or CDO is there a programatic
way to determine if a pst is in Unicode or Ansi format? I know you
can do it through the UI by right clicking the information store,
choosing properties and then advanced. If the format reads "Personal
Folders File (97-2002)" it is Ansi, if it reads "Personal Folders
File" then is is Unicode. Do Outlook or CDO expose this info
anywhere? Thank you.

"pst files don't seem to want to do it" means what? Document your problems.
Did you create an "Outlook 97-2002" PST so it would be compatible?

Sorry. Ignore my post. It went to the wrong thread.
You might have more luck posting this question in the programming group.
