Protected Docs & header/footer fields

We created a template that contains form fields and doc
fields and is saved as a 'protected document ("Forms")'.
When it's used (ie new doc based on that template),
filled out and saved (as a doc with its own filename and
location), you can't update the fields in the
header/footer to insert the new updated document filename
and location.

Any ideas?

May you use a macro solution?
