Program removal

In 'Add & Remove Programs" in my control panel; If I remove program updates
to free up disk space (java updates for example or windows security updates),
will this "un-install" the updates from my operating system? or will it just
remove the program that installed them?

I hope this question was clear enough. I'm new at this.

Hi

If you use uninstall via Add/Remove Programs - those programs will be
deleted from your hard disk/partition. If you need them at a later date you
will then have to re-install.
