Pop-up Window

I have had my computer for a year. For the past several
months a window appears soon after I turn on the
computer. It says: Notify Alert.exe Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000135)
Click on OK to terminate the application. I click OK and
it goes away, but comes back the next I turn on the PC
 
In the short term, click start, then 'run
In the box type: msconfi
Depending on which version of windows you're running, you'll get a box appear with a list of programs that run on start-up. If you're using ME, it should come up straight away, with XP, you have to click the 'startup' tab
From the list of programs, remove the tick from the offending program, click 'apply' and reboot

Make sure you know which program you are disabling though!

In the long term, don't download anything from the internet if you are wary of the source.
