Hi,

My OS is Windows XP SP1 and all updates.

Yesterday, my Epson GT7000 scanner was working perfectly. The Twain
program was working correctly, enabling me to scan-in photographs, while
the Microsoft Greetings software allowed me to print them up.

This morning, I switched on the computer and the scanner, expecting to
continue from where I had left off yesterday. But the following messages
appeared:
Epson Scan! II
Epson Twain is not installed.

So I tried to install Epson Twain from the downloaded files from the
Epson site. The next message that appeared was:
This program is not for Windows 2000. Use plug and play capabilities to
install Epson Twain on Windows 2000.

The SCSI card which connects to the scanner is correctly recognised in
Device Manager, as is the scanner which appears as an Imaging Device.

Epscan II exists on the computer but whenever I attempt to scan
anything, the message " Error in Epson Twain" appears.

No amount of shutdowns and restarts has reactivated Epson Twain, and I
repeatedly get the Epson Twain is not installed message. Please advise
what went wrong and how to correct it.

Many thanks

Rex.

Well exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday. Is there
solution?

Thanks

Tony
