Please Help...IE6 "page not found" after ~10 min

I am using windows XP and find that after about 10 min surfing IE6 comes up
with "page not found errors". However if you log out of your profile and log
back in it works fine for about another 10 min (forcing you again to repeat
the above). I have read all the posts here and for over the 2 weeks I have:

1) disabled 3rd party browsers in internet options (done)
2) scanned and removed all spyware with spybot S&D and adaware (clean)
3) tried several other registry fix programs (no use)
4) uninstalled IE6 and reinstalled several times (still nothing)

Nothing seems to help and I still have the same problem. If anybody knows of
another fix please let me know. I am about 3 resets short of taking a
sledgehammer to my PC. Thank you

Have you tried deleting files and clearing history? Go to
Tools, Internet Options, click Delete Files, click Clear
History. Also, while there, click Settings and increase
the amount of space for your folders (not too much).
Finally, have you defragmented your HD? Go to My Computer,
right click C Drive, select Properties, click Tools tab,
and then Defragment.

.I am having the same problem,except that I can't get

internet explorer 6,to work at all.Always shows "Page not
found"I have reenstalled,got all the updates......but
still NaDa!!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!!

Yes! Explorer is working again...if anyone is having similar problems check
out that Stinger program on the McAfee website to rid yourself of that pesky
worm... Thanks to all who tried to assist me in my hair pulling crisis...
