I have loaded Internet Explorer 6.1 SP1 and cannot load pictures on some site. WWW.USELESSGRAPHICS.COM is one example where no pictures, GIF JPG or graphics will load. I also cannot get to certain websites such as the Gwinnett County Public Schools gwinnett.k12.ga.us. This is true with Netscape 7.1 and my AOL browser window. My neighbor has IE 6.0 and can see all of these sites as I could prior to loading IE 6.1 SP1.

Can anyone tell me why this is and how to fix it.

Hi Larry :-)

Try the information below and see if it will help.

Red X Instead of Images - Can't see or save Images/Pictures

Try clearing the IE cache. I.E./Tools/Options/General/Delete files (and
delete offline content.)

Scroll down to this section at this link.:
I can't see JPG's or GIFS any more - red x - images missing - fuzzy

or try this olther suggestion :

Right click on the graphic you see and a pop up menu should appear. Select
"Show Picture" option.

Then, go to Internet Options>Advanced Tab>Show Pictures - check option if
unchecked to display pictures all the time

How to Activate Scaling
Internet Explorer 6 and later automatically adjusts the scale on higher
resolution systems when the DPI setting is higher than 96 DPI and the
"UseHR" registry value is added to the registry. These are usually done by
the manufacturers of higher resolution systems.

Set the DPI
These are the steps for changing the DPI setting on your system.

Right-click the Windows desktop to display the context menu.
Click Properties on the context menu to display the Display Properties
dialog.
Click the Settings tab on the Display Properties dialog to display the
Settings tab.
Click the Advanced button on the Settings tab to display the monitor
properties dialog.
Select a DPI setting in the Display frame of the monitor properties dialog
to change the DPI setting.
Restart your system to allow the changes to take effect.

Run REGEDIT to add the UseHR Registry Entry
The UseHR value is added to the Main key under "Internet Explorer" as
follows:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Software
Microsoft
Internet Explorer
Main
UseHR= dword:00000001

If the solution from Dell support works for you, don't bother with the
registry fix from msdn.
