"PCHealth" Ware from Hell

B

boogers

Hi All,

3 hours rebuilding my comp just to get it medium working. Went to
driverguide.com to find a driver, a pop under installs this thing called
PCHealth in my Windows directory.Tried all kinds of things to remove (didn't
get far with Google should have tried harder) it. Ended up in my Zeal
deleting some stuff I shouldn't have, thus the major rebuild.

Anyways the thing is still there after the worst onslaught that this average
user can do, full repair install, attempted dos prompt deletes(around a 100
files) lost my restore points-was that fun! Oh Yeah, it seems to use some
*.dll's that Outlook Ex. uses

very new comp WinXP Sp1 Outlook6

If anyone could tell me anything about what it is or what to do about it,
Much Appreciated.

Thanks to Kelly whose site gave me what I needed to get going again.

Thank You,
Ron

PC Health is part of Windows! It is the Help and Support Center and System
Restore. Don't try deleting it!

Hi,
There are things that you don't need to do yourself if you don't like to.
Next time call a qualified technical person to fix your machine, exactly as
you
would call electrician or car mechanic or doctor. The life is too short for
useless frustrations.

Regards,

Hi All,

Hey thanks for the information, it could be that when I went to
driverguides.com and the popunder had the same name, Mcaffee anti-virus said
VBS script was doing something.
