Welcome to our new-format PC Review News and Reviews section. In each edition we'll be getting you up to speed with the latest technology news and reviews from across the globe!

Well its been another one of those crazy weeks for technology, with yet more legal battles and problems, from Time Warner suing DVD Software makers to the common terms "master" and "slave" in hard-drive technology being deemed to be offensive by the LA County court. If you use NTL to connect to the internet you may have also been plagued by major connection problems over the weekend as the BBC's Bill Thompson reports.

But its not been all bad news for technology this week, Multimedia content pages such as those found on digital TV and on the internet have been taking part in some of the glitz and glamour usually reserved for film stars as the Interactive BAFTA award is fought over, the BBC is topping the list, read there take on events here.

Its been an exciting week for innovative hardware, although George Orwell fans will have good excuse to be afraid. Chips that can be implanted under your skin have been announced which will carry your personal details in order to give you access to cash-machines read the full article here. Also in personal hardware is the news that what is being described as a 'brain-charger' is on course to hit the UK shops soon, a small device that plugs into your PDA and fits over your eyes and ears and claims to be able to manipulate your mood by controlling your brain waves, read the full slightly spooky story here.

In hardware reviews, processors and motherboards have been stealing the spotlight at the moment with HardwareZones 'AMD Athlon 64 Chipset Shootout' along with [H]ard|OCP's detailed reviews of both the Chaintech ZNF3-150 the latest Athlon 64 board and the ABIT AI7 for Intel CPUs, they also have a great review of the Asus Radeon 9800XT/TVD which not only looks at the card but also the latest advances in graphics card technologies for those thinking of upgrading.
